To new players the world appears empty and borring, hardly ever seeing another person. It seems the race to max level hurts the one thing that makes an mmo great- community.Įveryone gets to max level, hanging out in guild halls ( Guild halls are VERY bad for the community ), leaving a vacuum of empty zones behind them. In all the games I've played, I would have one high level character (usually not max), all the rest being lower alts - so I could play at all levels with friends and help new players out. It should take YEARS to get to the 'end' of an mmo, and should never be the goal of the week.
Now it's all about being max level and complaining there is nothing to do. Why is it in MMO's today that Max level is the only thing people are interested in? What happened to hanging out with friends at all levels, hunting, questing, having fun helping guildies.
